Remodeled and expanded Broadcasting House. I believe that Radio 1 has
moved back in, Radio London and local TV news will be moving in soon and
all other TV and radio news will be moved out of the TV Centre into New
Broadcasting House sometime next year, with the newsroom looking out on the
street. Please, God, don't give anyone at "Breakfast" the idea of having
people standing outside with signs and "concert series," They aren't
tearing down the TV Centre after the Olympics as originally thought, but
Radio 5 Live, "sport" and kids shows have moved to new facilities in
Manchester. It's interesting that when BBC World News tosses to Manchester
(and I always hope it'll be Amelia Harris-Lindsay) for sports, they never
say "Manchester." They always say "the BBC Sport Centre." And I go "DA da
DA! DA da DA!"
