Usually, that sort of disclaimer is only required for live shows if there is a taped segment that looks it can be live. The reality comp talent shows do it all the time with guest performers who can't show up at 5 p.m. LA time for the telecast (or don't want to perform on live television). Usually, they're taped when they first bring the studio audience in or they tape the spot and do sweetening, especially on shows like "X Factor" that love over-the-top crowd response at all times.
Back in the Paley years at CBS, although his wanting to have an "audience response technically augmented" disclaimer didn't stick, whenever someone lip-synched on CBS variety shows, whether live or taped, there was a voice-over disclaimer during the credits saying "the musical number [title] was previously recorded."
