I find this year's Idol unwatchable, thanks to Nicki Minaj, who talks too
much and yet has nothing of substance to say. Even before this year's
edition began I wasn't planning to watch because I couldn't imagine either
Minaj or Carey having anything intelligent to say. Carey, at least, seems
to be harmless, thanks to the fact that, unlike Minaj, she doesn't talk
much.

So, I haven't been watching but I have caught a minute or two here and
there, and last night I tuned in to see that Matheus Fernandes, who appeared
on several episodes of the first season of The Glee Project make it through
to Hollywood. Surely someone who writes about TV for a living noticed and
will write about it. But I can't be bothered to find out.

Do Corey Clark and the others have a case? Unless they can find some white
contestants with undisclosed criminal records, they don't. Clark's 15
minutes should have been up years ago, when his CD bombed. Unfortunately,
he's not bright enough to get that no one cares.

Subject: [TV orNotTV] American Idol sued by dismissed contestants

Fox states the contestants were cut loose when it was revealed the
contestants had criminal records. The contestants believe they were not
judged by the content of their character, but by the color of their skin.

Just so we're clear, I honestly don't care about AI, but I know that after
the season of Big Brother (I think it was the 2nd) when one of the
contestants brandished a knife in a threatening manner, it has been policy
to cut reality show contestants with criminal records.
Based on that, and based on the volume of African American contestants (and
winners), no way the lawsuit proceeds.
