Three media-related items:

-- The one reporter who happened to be at the site of the shootout was
forced from the scene (footage of cops cussing him out aired live on
KCBS)
-- Sheriff's office instructed media to stop posting about the events on Twitter
-- Sheriff's office instructed media helicopters to move to an
elevation making it impossible to get any close footage of what was
happening on the ground

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, generally believing the government
lacks the cohesion to do things like fake a moon landing. However, as
a Big Bear cabin is presently engulfed in flames while various law
enforcement agencies refuse to allow firefighters to control the
blaze, one cannot help but think of Waco. Only a few possibilities:

-- Dorner was burned alive inside the cabin
-- Dorner shot himself once the cabin caught fire (a single shot was
heard shortly after the incendiary device was shot into the cabin)
-- Dorner isn't in the cabin (footprints leading to a nearby horse
corral were discovered, causing even mainstream media to speculate he
eluded LEOs again)

While not condoning anything Dorner has done, the part of me that
enjoys the stories of Butch and Sundance would be jazzed if this guy
was able to slip past authorities. I don't mean to lessen the loss of
officers, deputies, and family members, but this has been a compelling
story.
