Multiple police "sources" are now quoting Billy Joel lyrics to
reporters, stating "We didn't start the fire" (footage from the air
showed somebody lobbing things into the cabin, but they were too far
away to say what it was... could have been tear gas, which could have
accidentally ignited propane in the cabin, but we don't know, and the
police are now denying doing it). Same sources say they heard a single
gunshot inside the cabin before the fire started (I guess because you
can't have a conspiracy without a single-bullet theory). Nobody can
refute their claims.

I appreciate what you are saying Pgage, but in none of my journalism
classes was I ever taught "Be a journalist unless it is dangerous, in
which case be a coward." Once again -- big shock -- journalists failed
in their responsibility to serve the public. They were there... they
were on scene... they were in the skies above... they were there, and
then they left. There is no way that isn't a failure on the part of
the journalists. There is no way the police didn't overstep their
boundaries by ordering journalists away. There is no way the police
(and parent companies) didn't overstep their boundaries by ordering
the media to stop posting on Twitter.

I wish there was an actual news organization that owed its allegiance
to no person, place, or thing and could faithfully execute the
gathering and dissemination of what is really going on in the world.
