While I found it easy to smell the disdain emanating from the screen, I can't call it a mugging. It does show an amazing lack of musical history, highlighted by the reference to the "O Brother" soundtrack suggesting that there's nothing to connect that work with the current trend.
WaPo has gone downhill significantly, almost in inverse correlation to its price increases.
