If a paper sends someone to review the LA Philharmonic performance of Mozart, and the whole piece is devoted to how boring and irrelevant classical music is, not used for anything culturally relevant since it was background for Warner Brothers cartoons, I think they are dicking us around. Save the money on the tickets and just write a column about how much you hate classical music. What has happened to the Post? I am aware over the years ( 3 or 5, or is it more?) that it no longer really belongs in the top class of national papers (I guess if there still were such a thing), but I have still been scanning it casually every day, and reading occasional articles. If it is not about national politics they have almost nothing of substance to contribute, and even then they are barely a step above CNN. I know papers are dying, but the NYT, and even the LAT, are going down with more dignity than this. -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
