Thanks for the recap. The show needs a major writing-staff overhaul. Because almost everything it does "isn't that funny," although the Tuesday bit wasn't as bad as some of the stuff I've seen. I assume Dave is responsible for hiring the writers, and as smart as the man is, something is missing in his judgment.

By the third take, which involved stopping the taping and starting from scratch it was clear that Dave was annoyed (enough to curse at one point "this s--- isn't that funny and we have to do it again" ), and we were able to see Cue Card guy Tony Mendez turn to another crew member and make a face like "uh oh!". It was enough to make Rob Burnett come out at the next break and talk to Dave at the desk for awhile. however, I guess they turned it into an "all's well that ends well " moment as they played all three takes on the actual show that night, and it was funny because of Dave's ad libs about the situation (they even aired his edited profanity).
