FWIW, I did watch it. I was not intending to say that Dave was any more serious about this subject than he usually is. By that I mean poking the bear for his amusement.
Personally I don't think Williams would have responded any differently if Dave was more or less serious than he was. He's not directly involved, but works for NBC. What else could he say but to politely evade an answer?
