I have not heard who the replacement will be either (of course on the West Coast we are spared most of the Joe and Tim show during the regular season, so maybe this is well known by others). What I have heard him say, both last night and a few other times, is that there is no one he would rather sit next to calling a game. As I say, I have learned to accept that for what it is in that "Tell me another story Uncle Tim" kind of way. I expect Buck to say something during the Fall Classic this year along the lines of: "Ron Darling, or John Smoltz, or whoever, is going to have to get used to forever being number two, because for as long as I live I will never stop telling people that Tim McCarver is my favorite broadcast partner" -- -- TV or Not TV ....
