"GBA" wouldn't be singled out because it's usually not an example of the "canned" music he's talking about -- teams almost always use a live singer, although the aforementioned Yankees do often play a Kate Smith recording. One of my favorite memories from my 2004 baseball road trip (11 games, 11 cities, 10 days) was hearing the Fenway Park organist playing a bunch of 1960s and 1970s pop hits before the game -- best was "Walk Away Renee." (I mentioned this on Twitter relatively recently, and actually got a thank-you reply from the organist, whose name is Josh Kantor.) I don't remember any of the canned music that was played. -- Jim Ellwanger <[email protected]> <http://www.ellwanger.tv> -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
