That's pretty much what we know. New pilot for the aircraft, first-time
instructor, instrument landing systems off for major work, but good weather
for non-instrument approaches. Supposedly the jump seat pilot called out a
couple times that they were descending too quickly but there doesn't seem
to have been any response and the instructor (who was on his first flight
as an instructor) did call for a go-around three seconds before impact, but
it takes quite a bit longer for the engines to power up and accelerate the
plane to fast enough to start climbing.

I think Boeing is going to have an easy time finding something that wasn't
done according to their published specs (over and above keeping the plane
above its stall speed) once they get their hands on the black box data, and
that will be it for their part of the suit.
