Of all the shows and all the studios I ever worked on, only once did I ever work on the Fox lot. I had to deliver something but got hopelessly lost on the streets where they filmed "NYPD Blue." I finally found the right building but none of the doors or office were labelled, so I found myself wandering all around a building. Finally, I descended a staircase and walked right into Tyne Daly delivering a tearfilled and heartfelt monologue. I kinda froze in place and reacted the way anyone would if either Cagney or Lacey were reduced to a puddle on the floor. Eventually I heard a director say "cut," and that's how I wound up in an episode of "Judging Amy." Turned out they'd obscured all the office signage so they wouldn't appear during filming. All things being equal, I'd rather have appeared in "NYPD Blue." -- Kevin M. (RPCV) -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
