When we first discussed this I was trying to think of the worst possible follow up musical they could do, and came up with Annie. This is worse. I don't just mean that as a judgement on the quality of the show (though I do not like it), but as a turning their back on an opportunity to bring another kind of pop culture that can approach art into television. I know they first and foremost need ratings, but with the right cast Fiddler or Music Man or even Camelot or My Fair Lady could pull a pretty big rating number. I suppose after PP they will do a live TV version of the Lion King. -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
