It's pretty much a global pastime. Especially after 25+ years of being
conditioned to expect to be able to turn on TWC and see current weather
information at some point in the next few minutes? It may not be entirely
logical, but I think it's entirely predictable to think that they would
have lost some goodwill from their loyal-but-undesirable viewership,
particularly given how candid they've been about the fact that they're more
interested in viewers that advertisers want than people tuning in to check
the weather.
