True. Just because you don't want to be a public figure doesn't mean you are a private figure. Witnesses thrown into the public eye at a crime scene are probably the best example of this. The guy who saved Gerald Ford in an assassination attempt (from Squeaky Fromme? I forget) was outed as being gay back in the 1970s when it was a lot less acceptable than it is today. But a person can leave the public eye. A good first step is saying, "I am no longer a public person."
