It's not just the closing credits and theme song they're editing out.
Not long after Maverick popped up on Cozi, I recorded an episode, edited
out the commercials, and compared it to the same episode on my DVD. The
episode ran 49 minutes on DVD, 43 minutes on Cozi.
I'm not sure if they're editing out lines/scenes, or running the tape fast,
or both. They're also eliminating the teaser scene and the opening credits
sequence with the narration ("Maverick! Starring James Garner and Jack
Kelly. Produced by Warner Bros."). That means the only credits Cozi runs
are the ones right Act One begins, listing the series title, the episode
title, the copyright notice, and the episode's star. All the other credits
- writer/director/crew/guest cast etc. - are in the closing credits, which,
as you noted, are missing.
One more thing about Maverick: my aunt knew Jack Kelly in the eighties.
After his show biz career petered out, he served as mayor and later a city
councilman in Huntington Beach, California. My aunt was the secretary to
the head of the school district. Once a week Jack would walk into her
office and say "Hello, Kathleen, how are you today?" And my aunt would
reply "*Catherine*, Jack, my name is *Catherine*!" He never did get it
right. Finally he gave up and said "Well, you look like a Kathleen!"
