Perhaps, though Colbert could have exercised his influence at the point of negotiating his contract. I think Cuomo got rolled pretty good by CBS on this, as I think it is highly unlikely Colbert was going to agree to do this kind of show from Los Angeles.
Colbert went out of his way to mention TCR was ending this year twice last night - was that to remind his audience in advance of today's announcement?
