"Wizard Wars" is not *actually* a cooking show, though I thought the same thing at first hearing Penn describe it as such on his podcast.
Apparently, it's a magic show using a *format* similar to that of cooking shows like MasterChef. But instead of teams of chefs creating an original dish (often with some restricted list of ingredients), it's teams of magicians creating an original magic trick (often with some restricted list of magic props). The show doesn't actually involve food at all (unless perhaps one of their "challenges" is "Create an edible magic trick" or somesuch.) -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
