Ferguson made it clear when he announced his departure from Late Late Show that he'd more or less exhausted the creative possibilities of the format and it now bored him. Unless he's desperate for cash, I can't see him going syndicated, especially not after the way Tribune treated Arsenio. A lot of aggravation for something he's weary of? To quote the philosopher Han Solo, "No reward is worth this."
