Why doesn't NBC accept that the Today show is not a news program... that it is just background noise for people making breakfast, applying makeup, taking their morning dump, and only vaguely interested in world or national events... or even local traffic or weather for that matter. Replace the hosts with video of a kitten trained to play Three Blind Mice on a xylophone intermixed with footage of Kardashians set to Robert Palmer music, and move onto other programing concerns.
