My "out-there" prediction for new "Daily Show" host is Paul F. Tompkins.

1. Comedy Central knows who he is -- he did a pilot for them for the midnight 
time slot a couple years ago.

2. He's currently hosting a show, created by former "Daily Show" head writer 
David Javerbaum, where he sits behind a desk and moderates panel discussions 
about current events ("No, You Shut Up!" on Fusion).

Same qualifications as everyone else we're discussing, of course -- no idea if 
he wants to move from L.A. to New York, no idea if he can get out of his 
current obligations, etc.
