The NCAA Tournament is on Thursday and Friday. The second game on CBS each day isn't scheduled to tip until 9:45 Eastern. There's no way those games will actually start until 10, which means they won't end until after midnight - at best.
I assume the plan is local news at midnight, Dave at 12:37, Corden gets a vacation. (Work 3 days, then get two off ... he must be thinking this is a pretty sweet gig right now!)
