I'm not going to comment on every episode, except for this. I intended to watch the second show, but had to turn it off. Corden (despite his UK TV experience) seems to have no idea of how to deal with an audience that's at home and not in the theatre. Tuesday night suffered from his yelling/overprojecting everything to the point where I found it unbearable. This leaves aside the issue of how bad the opening monologue was. I understand the impetus to try something different, but ten or fifteen minutes of unfunny jokes and bland observations on the California drought are neither entertaining nor enlightening to these tired old eyes and ears.
