First, let me point out a change from my OP that APM dropped "Wits" earlier this year, which gives the new "PHC" some relief of being given at least a year. However, public radio blogger Ken Mills reports that WCBU in Peoria, IL is seemingly the first "PHC" station that'll be dropping the show after tonight's farewell from Kellior, replacing it with "This American Life" and "The Moth Radio Hour," the series spinoff from the national storytelling collective. WCBU PD Nathan Irwin breaks it to his listeners (he's also replacing Michael Feldman with "Ask Me Another" and the "Car Talk" reruns):
http://wcbu.drupal.publicbroadcasting.net/post/peoria-public-radio-adds-five-new-programs-july#stream/0 Meanwhile, as Feldman has already announced, "Whad'ya Know?" will become a podcast in the fall and after reaching his first Kickstarter goal to make the transition is now starting a second Kickstarter goal to have the live recording streamed to allow callers to participate. Meanwhile, Wisconsin Public Radio is replacing Feldman on their news-talk Ideas Network (feeding from WHA in Madison) with "Ask Me Another" and WGBH's panel game "Says Who?"--and is doing the amazingly brave move of dropping the "Car Talk" reruns that followed Feldman with a new WPR show on personal finances, joining the small number of NPR stations that have been brave enough to get rid of "Best of Car Talk," give the middle finger to the inevitable angry letters and E-mails threatening not to give any more money and do something different in its place (I can only name WNYC in NY and WBEZ in Chicago as the other stations).
