It was only the pilot and the WWII episodes that have used the "Biff is waxing the BMW" trope so far. Even the WWII episode shrugged off the change to history with a "we got a new James Bond movie". Shouldn't they have to worry that the wrong soldiers were killed in Germany, The Alamo, or Pittsburgh? The butterfly effect is a device in the overarching story (a little girl wasn't supposed to survive the Hindenburg explosion) but it's conveniently forgotten when there's no time for it.
