It's interesting that "Star Trek" was more successful in syndication that 
on network-  It was offered to FOX, but they wanted just 13 episodes, where 
as Paramount wanted 26... The same thing happened with a few other syndie 
shows. I believe Welk had been canceled by ABC, and he promptly went into 
syndication. Hee Haw had the same thing occur too. Didn't *Fame *go into 
syndication too because the network canceled it too?
