VanityFair.com has prospered positioning itself as a gadfly on the Trump
rump, and has also been in the MK story. Not much new actual news here,
aside from some glimpses of a Malibu fancy Golden Globes party NBC threw
for Jimmy Fallon where only NBC News talent to appear was their new golden
girl.

Consistent with general impression they don't know the time slot or genre
of her daily show yet (which won't debut till September in any event).

Also suggests her NBC salary is around $16M, less than the $25M she could
have got from staying at Fox, but more than anyone at NBC news not named
Matt, and more than combined salaries of all on air talent at 60 Minutes.
All of which unidentified insiders assume means sooner or later she will be
one of the main hosts of the 7-9 Today broadcast. This is what I also have
been assuming since the announcement.
