Just a note: Ross did have some experience with football announcing prior 
to the XFL. He called the Atlanta Falcons for one season on the radio in 
1992 back when he was still the lead announcer for WCW.

I throw into this pile former UFC announcer Mike Goldberg's disastrous 
short lived stint for the NFL on FOX. Goldberg was lambasted for 
misidentifying players and coaches while announcing. In which, Goldberg 
took to Twitter to bitch at angry fans which is never a good sign.
