NFL teams do an excellent job of involving announcers in team access and providing notes that can be used to fill time so there is not dead air. The XFL built their rosters at the last minute and team PR was probably orders of magnitude worse than the NFL. Doing high level play-by-play, especially with Vince McMahon talking in your ear, was going to be a real challenge. In the 30 For 30 doc aired recently Matt Vasgersian talked about being dropped from main game announcing after the first because Vince felt he wasn't high energy and into it enough. Until somebody comes up with a better choice than Mike Goldberg, I give him my vote as worst ever. -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
