No spoilers, but I can’t help but be a little disappointed by ST:D. It was a solid enough pilot, and the VFX was stunning, but I kept being distracted by the production design Discovery is supposed to be set in the prime (TOS) timeline, about 10 years before TOS, but the set design & available tech looks like it was pulled out of the Kelvin timeline.
Far from a convincing argument to plonk down $$$ for CBSAA. I’ll stick with it for a while, via other means. But based on what I saw tonight, I’m starting to think that The Orville might actually be the better Trek series. -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
