Nothing makes sense anymore. Wow.

I've been a huge, HUGE fan of Keillor's since PHC started airing nationally
in the early eighties. But after what's happened in the past few weeks, I
guess nothing should surprise me anymore. I'm pretty much numb now.

Though I'm tempted to say that the news was broken by the Lake Wobegon
Herald Star (and its publisher, Harold Star).

One interesting section of MPR's press release:

By terminating the contracts, MPR and American Public Media (APM) will:

* end distribution and broadcast of The Writer's Almanac and rebroadcasts
of The Best of A Prairie Home Companion hosted by Garrison Keillor;

* change the name of APM's weekly music and variety program hosted by Chris
Thile; and,

* separate from the Pretty Good Goods online catalog and the
PrairieHome.org website.

Thile's version of PHC has a live episode (from Town Hall in New York)
coming up on Saturday. They better change the name of that show soon.
