Spoiler alert: the prequel series picks up a decade after the Langfords
discover the gate. So even if you watch, you’ll keep wondering. You’ll also
wonder why “Michael” from Atlantis is now Dr. Langford.

I remember listening to the DVD commentary of the original movie where they
were pissing all over SG1... mostly they were angry that SG1 killed off the
character played in the film by French Stewart, because they had big plans
for him in their sequel concept. If your film sequel centers around French
Stewart, it is better that somebody else took the wheel of the franchise.

G-1 provides enough backstory that it makes sense without needing the gaps

The writers of Atlantis did develop a season arc for one more season of the
series, though it never came to pass. They shared it in their writers blog
at the time. Yes Atlantis went back to Pegasus galaxy, and yes they faced
the biggest baddie yet.

What's life like on board the Daedalus? Give me that and I'll be a happy
