So I am now thinking the Albanese bomb had something to do with Colbert’s schedule this week. They are dark reruns I guess) Thur and Friday for NCAA. I am pretty sure all or most of last nights (Wed) show was taped earlier. Clearly the horrible Mindy K segment was a leftover from her appearance a week or two ago; Colbert made the kind of arch reference to the day during his monologue that he usually makes when acknowledging it is being recorded a day or two early. I am suspicious the interview with The Americans (my favorite show) actors was done more than a day or two early.
I would not be surprised if they only had a studio audience Monday, and taped 2 or 3 monologues and other stuff that the Frankensteined together with other material later for 3 shows. I think they are (not for first time) editing his monologue into 2 parts and presenting second part as a distinct Act 2. And - I would not be shocked if poor Albanese agreed to do his stand up in a mostly empty Ed so they would have something to end Tuesday night’s show (maybe something ran short or fell through?). That would account for poor timing and wierd editing/ending. -- Sent from Gmail Mobile -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TVorNotTV" group.
