Forgive me.  I was wrongly thinking of his former position as UKIP head as
being quasi-official or something.
If there is a common occupation for former US politicians who don't do the
lobbying thing, it's talk radio.  Is there something similar in the UK?
Newspaper columnist (which is what Johnson did earlier in his career if memory
serves).

Farage is actually still an MEP - Member of the European Parliament. Yes, the
organisation he so despises! But no, he's never won a UK election.
Boris, sadly, is still thinking about future positions. He thinks solely about
himself and what his next job is. He was possibly out-manoeuvred a little by a
fellow minister who also resigned today. But as a political pundit earlier on
put it, he's like one those really bad horror movies, where just when you think
the beast is dead and the film has ended, the very last frame has a hand coming
out the earth where the monster was buried...

Nigel has been a private citizen for a bit, and spending way too much time in
the U.S. with the other orange pasty gasbag.  Maybe the investigation over
Russian influence on the Leave vote will tar him and he can trade advice with
said gasbag.

Thankfully Boris relinquished his U.S. citizenship (was born in Manhatten) last
year over tax issues, natch.

I should correct myself; he’s still an MP (Con: Uxbridge & South Ruislip), he’s
just out of the Cabinet.
