I tried to like BBT, but after a while it just smacked of 'nerd minstrel show'. The cast is great, and I'm sure they do the best they can with what's written for them, but I know so many people who self-identify as exactly the types Sheldon, Leonard, et al. are supposed to be and they're nothing like that in real life. It's tough to suspend disbelief to that extent.
