I just thought I would let you all know, my son assembled a complete C/Ku-band
system last year but the big dish mount came apart during a heavy snowstorm
(weld holding a steel pin/rod broke) and during the four or five months the
system was working he found he barely used it and his wife didn't like the big
dish in the yard, so he's decided to sell all the C-band stuff. He bought the
Pansat 2500A new and used it very little, and I am pretty sure he bought the
Corotor II Plus feedhorn and the LNB's new, and as far as I know the only thing
that was used when he bought it was the GI 450i receiver, but it appeared to
work great. He does not say so in the ad but I'm pretty sure the GI 450i does
have a descrambler board in it, though it's not subscribed to anything (don't
hold me to that, though - if it really matters to you, you should probably ask
him about that).

So, if anyone wanted to get into C-band this would be almost everything you
need for both analog and digital reception, with the exception of the dish
itself, the positioner arm, and the cables to connect it all up. I'm not sure
if he plans to list the dish and/or positioner separately as "local pickup
only" item(s) or not; if you are anywhere near the Muskegon, Michigan area and
could haul away a large fiberglass dish, you could ask him about it.

The URL for his auction listing is:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32848&item=5787900771&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

To the best of my knowledge this includes a couple of receivers (used analog in
what I would call very good condition, and nearly new digital) with remotes, a
UHF remote kit for the Pansat (these are relatively expensive!), UHF remote for
the GI 450i, a Corotor II Plus feedhorn (this is the wideband model, though to
the best of my knowledge the LNB's are not wideband), C and Ku band LNB's, and
I think a 4 input DiSEqC Switch and a couple of splitters. Note that if the
description on eBay differs from what I've said here, go by what it says on
eBay, I'm typing this from memory. The one thing I do know is that last fall
the system was getting very good reception on both C and Ku bands.

Please don't post questions about this system to me on this group, because
anything I tell you just might not be correct - instead, use whatever contact
mechanism eBay offers to ask questions of a seller (I haven't personally used
eBay in years, so I'm not quite sure how that works, but those of you who use
eBay probably do).
