First, to help you, I'll need your Latitude and Longitude. Also:
What is your motor elevation setting? See my picture here for an example. http://mysite.verizon.net/jeff.adkins/dish_2_small.jpg What is your dish mount elevation setting? Example: http://mysite.verizon.net/jeff.adkins/dish_1_small.jpg The red line is where it should be set. Does your setup look like this? http://mysite.verizon.net/jeff.adkins/dish_0_small.jpg Your lnbf should have no skew at all since you are using a motor. Since you can see AMC5 FTA, your receiver appears to be working. But you may not have active transponders programmed with the correct symbol rate and pids for the next satellites. For example; SBS 6 is the next sat to the east of AMC5, and only a couple of degrees, so your motor will barely move at all and you should be on SBS. Active transponder on SBS 6 is 11741 (H) symbol rate 6616. Finally, how you are positioning the dish on the next sat to the east or west? Are you using USALS or moving the motor using DISEQ commands? You may have heard this before, but the most common error in setting up a motorized KU dish is the mounting pole is not plumb. Post your answers to my questions above, and I'll steer you in the right direction. I am setting up an FTA Ku-band system using a Satcontrol SM3D22 motor, a 90 cm offset dish, an Invacom SNH-031 LNB, and an Orasat 5.0 receiver. I have been able to get a good signal from AMC 5, which is the satellite that is closest to true South; however, I get no signal from any of the other satellites. I don't know what I have done wrong. Which receivers have the best technical support? Which receivers have the most satellites programmed into them? I have a Samsung 9500 which has some European Satellites and the Orasat 5.0 which has some American satellites. Is there a receiver with a list of all satellites available for download? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message.
