Hi Shawn..., Really great advice, for anyone wanting or needing paid programming... Eventually I'll run across a really good, even more capable Asian receiver dirt cheap, thanks to some electronics minded friends in Korea and Japan. Then I'll just swap out my Legacy for it, as that is all I'd then have to do... just in case. But, as I said, for now, since I already have most all the programming I want via cable, it simply wouldn't be cost effective to go with both and have to pay for the same programming twice. For now I additionally import AVI's wirelessly from my computers to my 65 inch Proscan, for most of my free movies, music and news. And since I don't spend time on sports and American idol antenna TV garbage as the wife does, need a different set to view and play my MPEG-2 stuff on, as a hobby. Not to mention all the many other wonderful things that a well setup VIEWSAT (especially a VS2000, with Flash Drive) is so absolutely capable of providing...! ___ BIG GRIN... This way, I've got the best of all worlds...!!

If you want to replace cable or Dish / DirectTV with your big dish, you should have gone the 4DTV route. If you're looking for feeds and ethnic programs, the DVB (MPG2) box is the way to go. There is some mainstream stuff on DVB but not much you couldn't get off-air. It's a fun hobby, but I wouldn't want it for my sole TV source. The 4DTV on the other hand is TV nirvana. Excellent picture quality, most the channels your cable / pizza dish providers offer, and a-la-carte programing packages. I decided I needed a HD DVR so I went the Cable / Tivo route. I often miss my 922 though! Get the both of best worlds. Setup the 922 on your big dish, slave the DVB box to it and you can watch almost anything up there. You may look into a motorized Ku only dish down the road too.
