No you don't actually.

I was wondering if any of you have a preference as to

There are a number of options. The one I chose was a Spaun 341 which
outputs 18 volts on one lnb and 13 on the other. You then use a DC
blocking splitter on the 13V and connect the Ku LNB to the input and
your analog to the DC passing output. Connect the C LNB to the 18 V
and the C from the analog to one of the Spauns receiver ports. The
DVB receiver is then connected to another receiver port and by
selecting vertical or horizontal you switch from Ku to C. The
polarity is controlled from the analog box.

Another is the 0/12 Switch and two splitters which pass DC on one
port. The passing ports are connected to the analog the blocked ports
to the switch. The switch is controlled by the DVB box to select Ku
or C. The same can be done with a 22 KHz switch.

Diseqc switches have improved but are more useful when multiple
receivers are sharing fixed dishes equally.

There are also manual A/B selector switches if you don't mind, oh
horror, getting up to change the band. In any case, make sure there
are no DC paths between your receivers.

Bon Chance!
