Hi Swathi:

On your OpenSuSe 11 system, please goto the 
/etc/sysconfig/network/ directory.

You should be able to locate a file named 'ifcfg-eth0'.

Please verify whether the contents of the file match 
with the ones shown below.

BROADCAST=''
ETHTOOL_OPTIONS=''
IPADDR=''
MTU=''
NAME='RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+'
NETMASK=''
NETWORK=''
REMOTE_IPADDR=''
STARTMODE='auto'
USERCONTROL='no'
