hey,

When I try to install the OpenSuse, at memory partitioning, it shows me
following partition Area of a 80GB HDD:

dev/sda/         74.5GB             Samsung
dev/sda1/        9.9GB              HPFS/NTFS
dev/sda3         64.5GB            Extended
dev/sda4         29.9GB            HPFS/NTFS

Now when i create a root partition as primary partition. I enter the data in
this way

Starting cylinder: 9732   (by default)

Ending cylinder: +5GB

Mount Point: /

And when I press Ok

Then I get this error:

The value at the end of the cylinder 10384 was not valid. Thevalue must be
between 9732 and 9732. Use the maximum allowed value or select No and enter
correct value

Use maximim allowed Value?
Yes / NO.

Now when I press enter, I get:

partition is too small to use Ext3
The maximum size for this file system is 10.0 MB

before installing, I checked out the Device Manager in My Computer, I showed me
nearly 40GB of free space.

Then why is it that I am not able to install it
