Please try the following: 1. disable "desktop" effects 2. disable "minimize" effect 3. In the "Module" section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf, comment out the line # Load "dri" Restart X. can you please report the CPU utilization percentage for 'kwin' and 'Xorg' ? Additionally, can you please let me know which GPU you have got on your box ? thanks Saifi.
