Hi Clotilde,
Once I started using a warp separator I found that the all the
weaving became easier. And, I agree, putting your finger into the
shed will tell you a lot, having good light is a must too.
You can find one at <www.lindahendrickson.com>, the one I have hangs
from the warp, Linda's gets clamped to the work service.

Hi Everyone! I hope you don't mind if I ask a technical question
every now and then, since I really want to learn and you guys know
more than I do. I am experiencing a little problem with my bands
which a tip from you might help me solve. It is this, sometimes, as
I open the shed, not all the threads get opened the right way and
when I passing my shuttle back and forth, I get some horizontal
threads in the back which ruin the design, as the thruttle passes
over the threads that are out of place. Since I am learning from
books and my books say that the way to open the shed is by moving
the cards back and forth until the threads open, that is what I've
been doing, could anyone here tell me if there is a way to make sure
all of my shed is open so that the shuttle will pass through an open
"channel" and not leave unsightly threads behind which marr the
design of my band?
Thank you!
Clotilde
