My own personal technique is to flip each "edge" card 180-degrees
separately, at least 4 turns apart, so that it smooths out the edge even
more.   Typically I'll do the "interior-most" selvedge cards first, then
work my way to the edge, each time, several turns apart.    It did seem to
help on my last band.

Someday I'm going to experiment with warp-weighting my selvedges so I don't
ever have to change direction...

Soon as I find my camera I'm going to try to post some pictures.   I've had
a lot of fun with my weaving lately!
