Actually, both the lists are stored in the database, and the displays are via SQL. Also, the display is not on the home page.
I tried to run the accumulation process in the background. But neither shell_exec nor pcntl_fork was of any help. Tried this too http://www.shapeshifter.se/2008/08/04/asynchronous-background-execution-with-php/ but nothing worked.
