Separately, the Town of Golden has a Council Meeting next Tuesday

formally take up a resolution on timekeeping at those meeting.
In theory, either could choose differently than RDEK — the full
breakdown of survey results buried in agenda attachments did show a
somewhat higher proportion of support for MST/UTC−7 there than most of
the other areas surveyed — but divergence seems unlikely given the
relative populations (~7,200 for CSRD A and Golden combined, ~66,000
for RDEK). We can always revisit if it turns out to be needed and,
meanwhile, potential workarounds abound.
True.
Golden had 1,229 responses, 56% in favor of Alberta Time.
CSRD A (surrounding Golden) had 107 responses, only 43% in favor of
Alberta Time.
Combined 55% Alberta Time. 45% Vancouver Time.
Perhaps America/Golden is a possibility?
If they strictly went off of the survey the CSRD A area around Golden
would be on Vancouver Time and Golden remain with Alberta Time.
BTW: The combined RDEK areas were 68% vs 32% in favor of Alberta Time.
Including Golden and CSRD A brought the numbers down to 66% vs 34%.
