Denny,

This is a trick that seems to work... In the VOC of one of the accounts
edit and modify the VOC pointer to NEWACC so that it points to the VOC of
the other account. Be sure to save the original NEWACC record so you can
put it back when done! Then use the UniVerse VVOC command -- this command
is intended to compare the VOC file with NEWACC. I tried this (once) and it
doesn't seem to mind that the NEWACC pointer is modified to point to a
different VOC. The output shows whats in one VOC and not the other and also
whats in both VOCs but is different.

Don't forget to put the original NEWACC pointer back -- otherwise you will
experience odd results next time you do an UPDATE.ACCOUNT.

HTH!

Subject: [U2] VOC Comparison Program

Does anyone have or know of a utility program that will compare the
entries in two different VOC files in two different Universe accounts
and give a report of the difference by the item in the VOC?

Thanks,
