I remember earlier microdatas having a NUMBER limit of 1,500. I hit that
wall a couple of times with all the files' records being MATREAD instead of
READ. And, earlier programmers often DIM'd even the smallest file array as
DIM TERMS(100) even though the TERMS file had 3 fields.

Perhaps that influenced me to use READ instead of MATREAD almost exclusively
unless I really needed to have a traditional array.
