Thanks, Craig and those of you who responded off-list. I'm not very conversant in CD-ROM standards, but I know I am limited to creating ISO-9660 level-1 disks that will be distributed to a wide variety of operating systems. I think the limit on the maximum number of files for this format is somewhere around 65536 -- not enough to contain all the records in a type-1/19 file. More or less I'm fishing for a simple, free bulk-loader utility for MV systems. Rolling my own solution is easy enough... just thought I'd see if there is a "standard" solution floating around in MV-land.
